Nature photography

Went rowing in Chichester Harbour, and a seal surfaced a few yards off and gave me a suspicious look. So I hauled out the N93 and took a few shots, although the process was delayed by my accidentally pressing the stills/video button a couple of times. The button is prominent on the edge of the unit, so you can swap easily - too easily in this case. I had to zoom in to the max of the optical zoom (3x) and wait until the camera got a stable image and fired off the button. The results are interesting and nice rather than good photograhically. As ever, the 'enhance cameraphone picture' button on Microsoft Digital Image Pro found it difficult to cope with a low quality image and actually made matters rather worse, coarsening the grain and over-heightening the colours.
